Buster Brown

Before I found my forever home, I worked on some basic obedience training with Lexi, my fosterer and trainer. I had spent 4 weeks at the foster home before I got adopted and I learned all the skills listed below during that time. I am a very smart dog who loves mental challenges as much as the physical stimulation.

I do know about clicker training and I absolutely LOVE it! I'm motivated by treats, verbal and physical praise, toys and playtime. 

I have a lot of great skills that make me a wonderful companion who's easy and pleasant to live with. Here's some of my skills and commands that I've learned:

• Sit
• Down
• Come
• Come and sit
• Let's go
• Get up
• Wait
• Stay
• Loose leash walking and automatic sit
• Running next to a bicycle
• Leave it
• Drop it
• Settle
• Crate
• Place

I also learned a few tricks! I know these tricks:

• Shake a paw
• High five
• Catch
• Woof!

I have very good canine manners:

I DO: 

• walk on the left side of a human on the leash
• sit down whenever the human stops
• sit at the door and let the human go first
• take treats from a human hand VERY gently
• sit down and wait when I'm being served my food
• follow the pack rules about NO aggression and NO dominance: I eat my food right next to another dog in a very harmonious way, with no fights, growling or barking
• greet strangers in a friendly way without jumping or pawing
• greet dogs in a friendly way

I DON'T:

• beg at the table
• bark for no reason
• jump on people
• jump on furniture
• sleep with humans on their bed (I sleep on my own place in the crate where I have my doggie bed)
